Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of security services by Van Safe Parking Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to client organisations (“you” or “your”). By engaging our services, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

We provide outsourced vehicle security services for car parks and parking locations. Our services are available in two formats:

  • Monitored CCTV and Detection Systems – professionally monitored camera towers, motion-activated detection systems, and remote alarm response.
  • Monitored CCTV with K9 Patrol – as above, with the addition of on-site manned K9 dog patrols during designated hours.

The specific service option, equipment placement, operational hours, and site coverage will be agreed on a per-site basis and documented in a separate Site Addendum.

2. Limitation of Liability

While we implement enhanced security measures, we cannot guarantee that incidents will not occur. Criminal activity can still target vehicles or property despite visible deterrents.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • No security service can offer a 100% guarantee against theft, break-ins, or vandalism.
  • Van Safe Parking Ltd excludes all liability for any loss, theft, or damage to vehicles, equipment, or contents at locations where our services are provided.
  • You are solely responsible for arranging your own comprehensive insurance for vehicles, tools, equipment, and goods.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

3. Subcontractors and Insurance

Van Safe Parking Limited engages professional, vetted subcontractors to deliver on-site security equipment and personnel. All subcontractors are required to hold, as a minimum:

  • Public and Product Liability insurance cover of £10,000,000
  • Employers Liability cover of £10,000,000
  • Appropriate SIA licensing and industry-standard security accreditations

In the event of a loss directly attributable to the proven fault or negligence of a subcontractor, a maximum sum of £2,500 per incident will be payable by the subcontractor's insurance.

This cap reflects the subcontractor's policy terms and does not constitute an admission of liability by Van Safe Parking Ltd.

4. Sites and Parking Locations

All sites and parking locations differ in area, size, and the type of security provided. Each site will require a full site visit and risk assessment to determine, but not limited to:

  • Location and positioning of monitored CCTV equipment
  • Defined area of operation and demarcation boundaries
  • Placement of motion-detection sensors and perimeter alerts
  • Operational hours and arming schedules for CCTV
  • K9 patrol routes and schedules (where applicable)

A separate Site Addendum for each location will document all agreed arrangements and will form part of the overall service contract for that site.

5. Service Continuity

We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure uninterrupted delivery of security services at all contracted locations. However, we shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, power failure, equipment malfunction, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, pandemic, or the unavailability of subcontractor personnel due to unforeseen events.

In the event of any planned or unplanned service interruption, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and take all reasonable steps to restore services promptly.

6. Data Protection (GDPR)

We are committed to protecting personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • We collect only the information necessary to provide our services (e.g. site contact details, vehicle registrations).
  • Data is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties, except where required to deliver services or where legally required (e.g. for police or insurance purposes).
  • CCTV footage is retained in accordance with ICO guidance and made available to law enforcement or insurers upon lawful request.
  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held by us at any time.

7. Professional Conduct

All parties are expected to treat staff, subcontractors, partner organisations, and site users with respect and courtesy at all times. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for verbal or physical abuse towards our team or partners. We ask that you co-operate fully with us or our security personnel in the event of a security breach, incident investigation, or insurance claim.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable Service Agreement and Site Addendum, represent the entire understanding between the parties and override any prior discussions, communications, or representations.

Waiver

If we do not enforce any part of these Terms, it shall not be considered a waiver of our rights or remedies.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
